Sporting Trials

Sporting Trials are a non speed event which involves a competitor advancing his car along a marked course, without hitting any of the marker post. They are affectionately known amongst competitors as "mudplugs" for obvious reasons.

The following are our Sporting Trial events for 2012

  • Saturday 18th February - Lincoln and Nolan - Moneystown, Co. Wicklow
  • Saturday 17th March - Healy Cup - Ballybrew, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow
  • Saturday 29th September - GVB Cup - Gallows Hill, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow
  • Saturday 17th November - Cahill Cup Sporting Trial - Boleynass, Co.Wicklow
  • Wednesday 28th December - Le Fanu / Brabazon Sporting Trial - Windgates, Belmont, Bray, Co. Wicklow

The club is affiliated to Motorsport Ireland, which is the governing body of four wheeled motorsport in Ireland. If you are interested in becoming a "mudplugger" or involved in sporting trials, further information can obtained directly from the Motorsport Ireland website.
